THE
SOUTH SHORE INDIANS BASEBALL CLUB Tonight's
(6/26) Mantle game scheduled for 8:30 PM at Eisenhower Park field B has
been postponed due to the Park closing the field.
As usual, always be sure to check Coach Kevin's Blog for further updates.
We
have arranged with Reggie Jackson, who played and coached for the New
York Mets as well as coached for the Kansas City Royals, to conduct a
series of clinics which will benefit our travel teams for 13/14 and
15/16 year-olds. We are tremendously excited that our young
players will have the opportunity to benefit firsthand from Reggie’s
extensive baseball knowledge and experience.
Knowing the
justifiable concern that parents have about the cost of everything
these days, I am also pleased to note that there will be no additional
cost (over the normal summer fee) for this program. Funding has
been secured through our 501c charitable foundation.
Here’s how
the Reggie Jackson program will work. Each team will have four,
two-hour, on field sessions, plus two additional, one-hour, on field
sessions for pitchers and catchers. This is a total of 10 hours of
professional instruction which is being offered to you as part of our
commitment to improve the skills of our ballplayers.

Mission
Statement:
The goal of the South Shore Indians Baseball Organization is to provide
the highest level of competitive baseball, while at the same time,
paying attention to the development of the individual player. Our team
managers and coaches can and must show and instill in their players a
proper approach and attitude towards baseball to remain with the young
player throughout a lifetime.
We aim to build character in our players, and show them that hard work
and dedication are the keys to a successful baseball career that will
lead to success in life. To achieve this, we limit the number of
players enrolled in our clinics and on our teams.
